Providing Structured Cabling Systems is what we do.

What is a "Structured Cabling System"?

A "SCS" is a set of cabling and connectivity products, installation methods, testing, and

documentation for voice, data, video, security, (and others).  An SCS can also be defined

as an open architecture using standardized media, connection interfaces, system design,

and installation that adhere to national and international standards.

What does this mean to the end user?

If your building's "cable plant" was installed by a professional, certified,  and respected

team of technicians, every wiring closet, wall plate, patch cord, and horizontal cable

will meet standards set forth by the EIA/TIA (http://www.eia.org/) and other standardization

organizations.  The methods used for labeling and documentation will be consistent.  From

wiring closet to wiring closet, and building to building, all across the United States the

methods for installation and the materials used should provide a suitable environment for

today's voice and data technology.

Carroll Systems is proud to be an organization that follows these standards.  All of our

installations, either new construction or remodels, meet or exceed the requirements set

in a SCS cable plant.

Carroll Systems is a proud Structured Cabling System Partner working hand in hand with

the following manufacturers:

Our valued relationships with the above companies allow Carroll Systems to provide our

customers with the latest technological advancements backed by a solid material, labor, and

assurance guarantee.

DESIGN / ENGINEERING

Carroll Systems has Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) and Certified

Design Engineers on staff. These trained professionals are able to help assess all types of installation

parameters to provide you with the best structured cabling plant for your dollar but better yet one that

meets and exceeds all industry standards.

INSTALLATION

A structured cabling system is only as good as its installer.  With that in mind, education and training

are top priorities for Carroll Systems.  Each technician is trained in the proper installation of structured

cabling systems, industry standards, termination, testing and documentation.  Also of importance are

grounding and bonding, fire stopping and safety.  Vendor training is scheduled as often as possible.

These classes provide the technicians with the latest technological developments and standards updates.

Often times these classes serve as refresher courses for the advanced technicians.

SERVICE

Carroll Systems strives to provide the best quality installations, at a competitive price, performed per

the customer's schedule.  This criteria defines our services goal.  We are available to our customers

twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, with prompt and courteous service.

TESTING

The majority of customers installing structured cabling systems require their cable plants to be tested

(certified) to the latest approved standards.  To that end, Carroll Systems has made a significant

investment in time and money in the Wavetek brand of test equipment.  Our technicians are trained

to navigate within the tester to ensure that all cables are tested, labeled and results stored properly

and provided to the customer.

DOCUMENTATION

Documentation has become as important as the cabling plant itself.  Cable records and as built

drawings are an invaluable tool when it comes to adds, moves, changes, or maintenance of a

structured cable system.  The lead technician on all of our installation crews is responsible for

the documenting of his project.  This includes the cable route, both copper and fiber, station locations

and numbers.  Once the "as-built" blueprints have been completed, Autocad drawings can be produced

and returned to the customer as part of the job.
